Jovan Stojkovic was born in Belgrade, Serbia in 1988. He moved with his family to Canada in 1993 and began musical instruction at the age of 10. It was not long before he found a great affinity for classical piano music. Over the years he competed in various competitions and performed in festivals such as the Newmarket Lions Music Festival and Kiwanis.

Owing to his success as a young pianist he decided to forge a career path in music. In 2012 he received his Bachelor's Degree in Music at York University under the study of Professor Christina Petrowska-Quilico -  a world renowned Canadian pianist and child prodigy - where he developed sensitivity and command of the instrument on stage.

In 2014 he received his Master's Degree in piano performance from McGill University in the class of renowned Georgian pianist Marina Mdivani. His two years of graduate studies saw the greatest number of live performances, including art song interpretation, solo recitals, chamber music, and a number of local concerts in Montreal.

Jovan has an uncanny stage presence and is able to convey the narrative of the music clearly and effortlessly to his audiences. He is one of the few talents around that brings excitement back to the world of classical music and invites children and youth to attend his performances and work with him to discover a world of exquisite beauty and human expression.
